Darrin and Jerry Simmons -- Simmons Road formally County Road 10
On behalf of the accomplishments of Darrin Simmons and Jerry Simmons in the NFL, the Morton County Commissioners have named the road to the farmstead where they were raised in rural Morton County, Kansas, Simmons Drive. Darrin and Jerry have coached teams in the NFL including the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and the Cincinnati Bengals for a combined 49 years. Darrin and Jerry proudly call Elkhart, Kansas home.

Bob Boaldin -- Bob Boaldin Event Hall
On behalf of the accomplishments and years of service that Bob Boaldin served as a Commissioner in Morton County, the Commissioners have named the event hall at the Morton County Civic Center, The Bob Boaldin Event Hall. Bob was a farmer, rancher, Morton County Commissioner for 27 years and a pioneer of telecommunication infrastructure and service to Morton County and surrounding communities. His companies, Elkhart Telephone and Epic Touch Company provided and continue to provide many of the services that are utilized by every industry and entity within Morton County, Kansas.
Morton County Commissioners recognized Kim Hull, EMT for providing aid and assistance to those affected by the June 16 Perryton, Texas tornado and hurricane Idalia on August 31st in Florida. Kim is employed by Eagle Med in Liberal and Morton County EMS.
